What is XSI?
Campus Rail Jam and XSI have teamed up to offer Campus Rail Jam event participants 30 days of accident and injury coverage! XSI is Xtreme Sports Insurance. We provide accident and injury coverage for anybody and everybody. But XSI is specifically designed for folks involved in action sports such as skiing and snowboarding.
The XSI sports accident coverage is built into your $25 event entry fee. So, when you pay us to compete, we give a portion of your entry fee to XSI to keep you safe. All you need to do is fill out the XSI online insurance form after you are accepted to compete. You do not need to give any confidential information such as your Social Security Number or banking info….we keep things nice and simple!
Why do I need XSI?
You need XSI because it is part of the participation requirement for Campus Rail Jam events this year- BUT you really need XSI because face it, you might get hurt doing major tricks, sliding down rails, and jumping off hills and getting some extra cash to cover those injuries might come in handy, right?
How long am I covered with XSI?
24/7 for 30 days with Campus Rail Jam. XSI is NOT event insurance. You are covered even when NOT competing. But do you only ski or snowboard once a year? If not you might want to continue your coverage so that you can have XSI 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the entire ski season. If you do other sports during the summer, you might even want to keep it year round.
What is Docusign and how does it work with XSI?
Docusign is an electronic signature service XSI uses to get your application to you and then processed as quickly, accurately, and securely, as possible. Your signature and all of your information is encrypted and accessible only by you and your agent- never a third party! This system is so secure banks, mortgage lenders, and insurance companies use it to ensure that their client’s documents and personal information is protected unlike in an unsecure format such as email, mail, or fax. Docusign also makes the XSI application fool-proof. There is no way to fill in an incorrect field or leave the application incomplete. What if I do end up getting hurt?
Of course, we want all of our clients to be safe and careful. But, accidents and injuries happen, especially when you’re pushing yourself to the extreme. That’s why XSI is there! If you do get injured, you will need to file a claim. Just give XSI a call. We will get you the claim forms and information you need to get paid. We can walk you through the short two-page claim form and answer any questions you may have. Getting your claims paid with XSI is fast and easy!
Do I need other health insurance to have XSI? What if I have a major medical plan?
First, NO you do not need any other health insurance coverage to get XSI. Second, you CAN have major medical and still have XSI. It works by itself and it works with other health insurance. If you don’t have coverage, XSI can provide you a low cost, easy way to get protection from accidents and injuries. There are no exams or physicals required either way. If you do have a major medical plan, GREAT! XSI will pay you directly so you can use that money to pay for lost time from work, co-pays, deductibles, and/or share of cost.
How MUCH do I get paid if I get hurt?
The amounts are based on what you injure and what you have to get done to get better. For policy details and a complete injury benefit sheet, check out our website www.xsinow.com. You will find exactly what is covered and what each injury or procedure pays you. XSI pays you directly not the hospital or doctors. Just save your discharge papers or other papers you get from your providers and then give us a call. We will help you file your claim, too.
